Pico FX® usually has minimal downtime (redness). Genius® RF typically involves a few days of redness/mild swelling. Aftercare is key.
For scar reduction, a series of 3-6+ sessions, spaced weeks to months apart, is usually recommended for noticeable improvement.
Pico FX® is generally well-tolerated. Genius® RF comfort is managed effectively with topical numbing cream applied beforehand.
Scar improvement is gradual as collagen remodels over months following the treatment series. Results vary per individual.
Treatments aim for lasting improvement in scar appearance. While results are long-lasting, complete scar removal is not typically expected.
